Plants at Orchid De Villa:

Borneo Orchids - Sabah is home to more than 1,500 species of the 30,000 species of orchids known to man. The Orchid De Villa has species ranging from the wild to exotic and rare species. Wild orchids are collected mostly from the different parts of Sabah. Every species is planted following its natural habitat requirements, such as on soil, on trees and rocks. Visitors are invited to explore and learn more about the many species of orchids that Borneo is so famous for.

Hybrid Orchids - Commercial orchid cultivation at the Orchid De Villa covers four acres of hybrid orchids. Most of the seedlings are imported from Thailand and West Malaysia. The hybrids consist of Dendrobium, Mokara, Aranda, Oncidium and others. From these beautiful orchids, fresh flowers are cut daily and supplied to local florists.

Cactii - The farm has more than 100 varieties of cactii. These include the round or barrel, the elongated and jointed cactuses.

Tropical & Fruit Trees - More than 30 species of commercial tropical trees have been planted around the Orchid De Villa. We have also a variety of local fruit trees such as jackfruit, mango, mangosteen, durian and rambutan.

Herbal Plants - Orchid De Villa itself has more than 100 different types of medicinal plants which grow naturally. In addition, we have planted more than 300 types of herbal plants for conservation purposes.
